In 2017, Dutch Music Export Proudly Introduced the Cofinancing Scheme for International Release Campaigns.
Since then, the Marketing Scheme has grown into a proven success. In recent years, Dutch Music Export has supported over 150 Dutch artists – both on a one-off and recurring basis – in strengthening their marketing budgets. Thanks to this scheme, they have significantly enhanced their international opportunities and achieved remarkable results.
ABOUT THE MARKETING REGULATION
Dutch Music Export’s financial contribution is based on a matching principle:
50% of the marketing budget is financed by the artist, their management, and international partners.
The remaining 50% is provided through the Marketing Scheme.
The minimum application amount is €5,000, while the maximum is €20,000. An artist can be granted a maximum of one application within a two-year period. Applications can only be submitted for the release of an album, EP, and/or multiple singles. Grants are awarded based on a strategic plan and a detailed budget.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Due to the great success of the scheme, the application procedure will be further adjusted from 2025 to give more artists a fair opportunity within the available annual budget. Starting in 2025, fixed application periods will be introduced on a biannual basis.
APPLICATION GUIDELINES
Applications must be submitted before the start of the campaign (*).
Retroactive applications are not permitted.

Deadline for the first half of 2025: Applications must be submitted no later than 24 February 2025.
(*) Exception for the first half of 2025: Due to a delayed application process, releases scheduled for 2025 may still be included in the campaign costs, even if they are released after the application submission.
