DUTCH ARTISTS PERFORMING AT MENT 2025:

TRAMHAUS (Post-punk / Punk)

Gala Hala

Thu 13 FEB - 00:00-00:40

Tramhaus is the daring post-punk sensation from the restless and ever-innovative city of Rotterdam. In the span of its relatively short existence, Tramhaus has managed to make a name far beyond the borders of their hometown. Marked by their joyous and energetic presence, the band has proven to be able to convey this message both in live and recorded settings. The music of Tramhaus feels like a soundtrack to a vivacious, mysterious and dangerous story. There is no room to lean back as the band takes you with them in a drag race full of emotions and euphoria driven by streamlined, fiery songs mixed with fragile and abstract tones.

BNNYHUNNA (Jazz / R&B / Hip-hop)

Stara mestna elektrarna

Thu 13 FEB - 23:00-23:40

Benjamin Ankomah is a Ghanaian artist who grew up in the South East part of Amsterdam. As his young life came with challenges, he found his remedy by discovering the ultimate way to express himself through music. In church he learned to play piano, drums and guitar. He has cultivated a distinctive sound influenced by a diverse musical upbringing and legends like Fela Kuti, Yusef Dayes, Kendrick Lamar and Pharrell Williams. He takes on roles in writing, producing, and playing nearly all the instruments. His fusion of jazz, hip hop, R&B and afro, influenced by his West-African background, got him invited to prestigious festivals such as North Sea Jazz, Montreux Jazz Festival and Down The Rabbit Hole. His debut album ECHOES OF PRAYER was released in October 2024.

TEXOPRINT (Post-Punk / Noise-Rock / Rock)

Menza pri koritu

Fri 14 FEB - 00:15-00:55

The Netherlands’ most intense noise rock trio, formerly known as Kalaallit Nunaat, has changed its name but not its identity. Texoprint is a factory specialized in producing noise at the highest level. They’ve just released their third EP Mumble, spearheaded by the eponymous single – a blazing noise-punk track with intense speed. The new EP is an attempt to capture that ice-cold, prehistoric sound the live audience gets to hear, and came about by meticulously fussing over every sound and detail without sacrificing an ounce of intensity. The band have played all over Europe, including Supersonic’s Block Party in Paris and Best Kept Secret 2024.
